Ben Talbot, Class of 2020

Ben Talbot, son of Joe and Leah Talbot, will graduate from McQuaid Jesuit High School (also his father’s alma mater).  He plans to attend Binghamton University in the fall to study mechanical engineering.  Ben would like to thank the people of Newark First United Methodist Church for loving and supporting him from childhood through adulthood.  Ben especially enjoys photography and sailing as his hobbies.  If you’d like to see some of his photography, feel free to visit  

Ben Cepulo, Class of 2020

Ben Cepulo, son of Joe and Margaret Cepulo, is graduating from Newark High School. Ben will attend FLCC in the fall, majoring in Music Recording Technology. Ben has held many leadership positions in school clubs and student council. His high school career has centered around music and acting. He was a member of band, choir, jazz choir, performance quartet, brass quartet, all four drama productions, and all four musicals. Thank you to Newark FUMC for all the support and encouragement over the years!

Lynzee Havert, Class of 2020

Lynzee Havert, daughter of Marlene and Rusty Havert, will graduate from Newark High School.  She plans to attend the University of South Carolina in the fall to study International Business.

Lynzee’s High School years have been very fulfilling.  She has been inducted in the National Honor Society, French Honor Society, and had attended the American Legion NYS Girls State.  Besides concentrating on her academics, she loved sports.  She was on the Indoor Track for a year and Soccer and Lacrosse throughout High School.    

“I would like to thank the Newark First UMC congregation for being a major part in the formation of my faith.  I appreciate all the support the church has given me and I will carry every memory throughout my future journey.”
