Worship Leader: Rev. David Herrmann

Liturgist: Steve Hallagan

Organist: Barb Seppeler

CALL TO WORSHIP: (Psalm 133) Steve Hallagan L: How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity! P: It is like the precious oil on the head, running down upon the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down over the collar of his robes. L. It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion. P: For there the Lord ordained His blessing, life forevermore.

† HYMN: “Infanat Holy, Infant Lowly” (UMH 229)

OPENING PRAYER: (BOW 392) Steve Hallagan O Lord, your wondrous birth means nothing unless we are born again, Your death and sacrifice mean nothing unless we die to sin, Your resurrection means nothing if you be risen alone. Raise and exalt us, O Savior, both now to the estate of grace and hereafter to the state of glory; where with the Father and the Holy Spirit, You live and reign, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

GOSPEL: John 20:19-31. Steve Hallagan

EPISTLE READING: 1 John 1:1-2:2. Rev. David Herrmann

† HYMN: (TFWS 2223) “They’ll Know We Are Christians By Our Love”

SHARING JOYS & CONCERNS: Rev. David Herrmann

THE LORD’S PRAYER: Our Father, who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, And the power, and the glory, Forever and ever. ~ Amen.

OFFERTORY: Barb Seppeler

PRAYER OF DEDICATION: Rev. David Herrmann “We Give Thee but Thine Own” (William W. How, ca. 1850, Public Domain) All: We give Thee but Thine own, what e’er the gift may be: All that we have is Thine alone, a trust, O Lord, from Thee. May we Thy bounties thus as stewards true receive, And gladly, as Thou blesses us, to Thee our first fruits give. To comfort and to bless, to find a balm for woe, To tend the lone and fatherless is our great task below. And we believe Thy Word, though dim our faith may be, Whatever task we do, O Lord, we do it unto Thee. Amen.

† HYMN: “Walk with Me” (TFWS 2242) †

BENEDICTION WITH BLESSING: Rev. David Herrmann First, We Gather to Worship – We have sung, we have prayer, we have listened to Scripture. We have blest and challenged. Now, We Go Forth to Worship – to serve God and neighbor, because unless we follow Jesus, nothing changes, and non of this matters.
