Today’s Prayer, 3/28/2020

Let us pray.

We are all suffering the effects of the coronavirus, but today we lift up brothers and sisters who actually have it. May we calm their fears by walking with them in love and in spirit.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers.
We lift up brothers and sisters who have lost their jobs or are struggling to keep their businesses opened. May our compassion ease their anxieties.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers.
We lift up brothers and sisters who feel despair in their isolation. May we console them with a phone call or a message.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers.
We especially lift up brothers and sisters who lived in hardship and struggle before this pandemic began. Brothers and sisters whose water is shut off and are struggling to simply keep their hands washed.  May they know that they are not forgotten.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers.
We are all suffering the effects of the coronavirus, but let us find new ways to be your hands and your feet, new ways to be your church, new ways to break through darkness with the light of love.
Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayers in the Name of Jesus who lived our life, died our death and intercedes that we may live.

Amen.
